Is it just me?

  • Aug. 29th, 2009 at 2:25 PM

Is it just me or has anyone else noticted that on Gotham City Sirens #3 Paul Dini didn't write it but Scott Lobdell did. And the issue is seemingly centered around The Riddler and Batman's new relationship and a case involving a murdered tennis pro and a race car driver. OK, now it says on the cover Gotham City Sirens, but yeah on the DC Comics website they said Paul Dini wrote it..... weird. Well I hope this just a filler and not Dini permitly handing over comic writing super powers over to Lobdell. Part of me says it probably is, because they say the next issues will involve a lot more Harley which is Dini's arena. until then I cross my fingers and hope its true. Please comment if you wish and hopefully I'm not the only one.

For students who live here we have july and August off for school which means one month of hoilday until school and Gotham City Sirens #3 and Streets of Gotham #3.  Plus now all of suddun its hot then it was the past two weeks of rain. Now don't get me wrong the sun its nice and all but I like rainy summer days.

I'm really happy today though becuase I finally opened a bank account and have debt, so happy :).

Boring and City Strike

  • Jul. 24th, 2009 at 3:06 PM

Recently I've been staying at home a lot. Not doing much but being on the computer, but I did go out to get Gotham City Sirens #2. Though its awesome to see Harley Quinn do more acrobatic moves and Talia being put in there. The problem was when Harley said " Kitty, please listen. It's me, Harley,"  to Selina on the 7th page of comics. Selina was not unconscious and her saying that made her feel out of charater.  Plus for the art, when did Harley go from a custom Catholic school girl outfit to a vest she had on in Streets of Gotham #1 , with jean shorts,  spaghetti straps, high heel black boots and finger less gloves (one black and the opposite red) ? I know its comic book "magic", but it doesn't make totally sense to me. Either way it was ok and was worth the money for me. Hopefully the next issue will be better and wow me like the first issue.

Other then that The City of Toronto is still on strike. Which means the garbage is not getting picked up and certain city services are unavailable which means very angery Toronto-ains. This also means that my father is locked in his office at the sewage planet and can only come out for 24 hour periods  and this annoys my mom a bit because sometimes she dad to help her with certain things like home repairs and driving.

Anyways hopefully the strike is over and that I can get to the cinema to watch movies I want to see like G- Force and Julia and Julia.

Until next time.

Finshed week one of cooking classes.

  • Jul. 10th, 2009 at 9:08 PM

Well its another week gone by, another journal entry.

So much as happened. First I have finished my first week of culinary boot camp. Which was a fun experience, because I learn good cooking skills and fun recpies that I'll cook for another time. Next week will focus more on baking and then that's it for me for camps. Then the next two week after next week will probably cleaning my room and studying my drivers handbook to write the test for my G-1.

Nothing much as happen, I know I did a cheap post but promise the next one will be better.

cooking classes and the pride parade.

  • Jul. 3rd, 2009 at 2:57 PM

So as in my other blogs I've said that I'm going to a camp held and run by this cooking school. Which will start next week and goes until the end of the week after next week. I'll definitely share pictures and recipes. It's kind of hard right now, because my father is locked in the sewage plant he's working at because of the strike in the city of Toronto. Thus I'll be barley traveling this summer. Hopefully this will all end soon. This past week I went to Toronto's annual pride parade. It was awesome. We got the best spot to see it. This years theme was Can't stop, Won't stop. People were dressed up and having a good despite the rainy weather. Plus I'm super happy, because I got Batman: The Streets of Gotham #1 and Gotham City Sirens: #1. They were both awesome and I can't wait for the next issues. I love the Harley moments in Sirens, they made me laugh out loud. Well hope you guys have a great week and hopefully i'll have money for more comics. Oh I recommend my friends you tube channel this week (click the link below).

Passed Gr. 10 and Sushi

  • Jun. 26th, 2009 at 2:19 PM

One of the most happy things about this year for me, is I passed gr.10 and don't have to do summer school. So with that I'm going to cooking camp, called Cooking Bootcamp. One week I'll do culinary and the next week of this camp I'll do baking. so I'll feature that in my blog. I also went to see We Will Rock You, the musical mostly of Queen music. I would say it was an awesome show and lots of fun, so if does come to a theatre or stage near you GET TICKETS! It great to go with a group of your best girlfriends or your family. I went to Washbi this week which is a order-all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet. we went at lunch and it was a good price. Though I still prefer my usual sushi place The Super Sushi House, its cheaper and closer. Plus pride is this weekend and I'm going on the main parade on sunday. So for in advance Happy Pride! everyone.

New Alexisonfire song and summer almost here

  • Jun. 19th, 2009 at 12:21 PM

Well exam week is practically finished for me. I've one more thing to do before the school year is over for me, before I take my two months vacation. So so far I'm going to th pride parade hopefully with my friend Jen and Laura. Which will be wicked, because the Pride Parade in Toronto or Pride week as a whole is like one massive party, next to Caribana. At one point and still is, it attracts many people of all sexual communities to Toronto, especially since gay marriage is legal in Canada. Then there is the thing of getting my drivers hand book for my G-1 or learner's permit and finding me a job or volunteer position somewhere. Either way my mom won't let me lounge around the house and I don't completely blame her. Either way this will be an awesome summer. Then like the title says there is a new song by the band Alexisonfire. If you know me well , you know that I like Canadian music, because well its like comfort food for me. Though I'm not a huge Alexisonfire fan, some of their songs are pretty good. Especially the latest one called Young Cardinals. I post the link to the video down below. Hope you people have a good friday! Enjoy!

Anyways I really don't have anything planned for the summer execpt studying my driver handbook for my driving test for my G-1 ( hopefully) and going to the pride parade. Whitch means I may have to find a place to volunteer or something. Well I will defentily catch up on some sleep, read my usual fanfiction, take pictures and update this blog weekly. Plus I will defently do review and get prommision from the people to post their stuff up. Plus I'll do stuff with friends and family through out the summer as well. Well thats all for now hope you have a good summer people.
